Beginning with MY 2011 vehicle, pilot bore grease should be applied. To enable this, grease must be applied to the pilot bore to prevent the wheel fromseizing onto the hub.Refer toAdhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealersfor pilot bore lubricant part number.Do not use any penetrating oils, grease or other lubricants on the wheel studs toaid in removal or installation. Always install wheels to clean, dry wheel studs only. The dimension between the wheel and hub has been tightened in order to reduce mountingvariation that results in 1st order tire variation. Only a very small amount of greaseshould be applied to the inner diameter of the wheel hub pilot hole of the wheel.Do not apply it to the entire pilot hole of the wheel or to the wheel bearing flange.
