Preliminary ProcedureRemove the driver or passenger seat. Refer toDriver or Passenger Seat Removal and Installation.Remove the front seat cushion cover and pad. Refer toFront Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement.
1	Driver or Passenger Seat Cushion Cover Procedure Separate the seat cushion from the seat cushion pad.
2	Driver or Passenger Seat Cushion Pad
3	Driver or Passenger Seat Cushion Heater ProcedureDisconnect the electrical connector.Remove the seat belt buckle pretensioner electrical wire from the seat cushion cover.Remove the heater element leaving the old adhesive strips intact on the seat cushiontrim. The new seat heater adhesive strips will be placed over the old adhesive strips.The front passenger cushion heater element is integral to the pad and inflatable restraintpassenger presence sensor. Refer toAirbag Front Passenger Presence Sensor Replacement.
