Preliminary Procedures

Warning:In order to prevent SIR deployment, personal injury, orunnecessary SIR system repairs, do not strike the door or the doorpillar in the area of the side impact sensor (SIS). Turn OFF theignition and remove the key when performing service in the area ofthe SIS.

Remove the front fender liner to access hinge bolts. Refer toFront Wheelhouse Liner ReplacementRemove the front door trim panel. Refer toFront Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.Remove front door check link bolt. Refer toFront Side Door Check Link Replacement.

Front Side Door Upper Bolt to Door (Qty:-2)

Caution:Refer toFastener Caution.

ProcedureRemove the water deflector.Support the door before removing the hinge bolts.Disconnect the electrical connector, if equipped.Tighten

25-Y(18-lb-ft)

Front Side Door Lower Bolt to Door (Qty:-2)

Tighten
