GM Recommended Tire Balancer

Hunter RF33 Road Force balancer or equivalent with thefollowing options:

Auto Clamp – allows for centering repeatability andprevent damage to the wheel.Wheel Lift – helps prevent wheel damage and assistsin the accuracy of the placement to the collet.Laser System for Weight Placement – for highlyaccurate weight placement and to verify the morning calibrationprocedure.Integrated Printer – to document the RFV resultsand VIN for each tire and wheel assembly.20-2472-1 GM Collet and Flange Plate Kit – 11degree short collets offer better centering and reduce protrusioninto chrome-clad wheels, which interferes with proper seating.Flange plates further protect the wheel by placing the mountingpressure at the tapered lug holes.Specific Software – co-developed with GM.

Note:This equipment is recommended to increase repeatability andreduce variation of the assembled product.

Equipment MaintenanceSpindle shaft and hub face should be cleaned at regularintervals.Do not lube the hub face.Mounting cones, collets and other mounting devices, should becleaned, lubed and inspected for burs.

Note:Machine must be calibrated regularly.

Tire Changer / Mounter

GM Recommended Hunter TCA34W Auto 34 Leverless Tire Changer,including the following options:

Note:The Auto34 is capable of exercising both of the tire beads atonce to ensure proper seating, and offer the greatest amount oftorque. The wheel lift and leverless design minimizes damage toboth tire and wheels.
