Preliminary ProcedureRemove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. RefertoAirbag Steering Wheel Module Replacement.Use paint in order to place match marks on the steering wheeland on the steering column shaft.

Caution:Refer toFastener Caution.

Tighten

50-Y(37-lb-ft)

Steering Wheel

ProcedureDisconnect all electrical connectors as necessary.Loosen the steering wheel bolt until 2 to3-threads are left engaged.Wiggle the steering wheel until the steering wheel disengagescompletely.Remove the steering wheel bolt.Remove the steering wheel.Copy the match marks from the old steering wheel to the newsteering wheel.Transfer any parts as necessary.
