Remove the rear differential assembly from the vehicle. RefertoDifferential Replacement.

Rear Differential Vent

ProcedureRemove any dirt or debris from the vent area.Using an appropriate pair of pliers, remove the vent from therear differential housing.

Tip:

The rear differential does not have to be removed from thejack stand to perform this procedure.When installing the vent, use a deep well socket that fits onthe flange of the vent and gently tap the vent into place.
