Automatic Transmission Flex Plate Installation Manual Clutch Pressure Plate Assembly

Place the flex plate-(2) in position on the crankshaft.

Caution:This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEWtorque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure toreplace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicleor component.

Install 2-NEW bolts-(1) in location at the top and bottom of the flex plate bolt patternallowing the flex plate-(2) to hang in position.

Install the EN 46106 tool.

Caution:Refer toFastener Caution.

Install the remaining NEW flex plate bolts-(1).Tighten the NEW flex plate bolts-(1) to 30-Y (22-lb-ft).Tighten the NEW flex plate bolts-(1) an additional 75-degrees using the EN 45059 meter.
