Visually inspect all of the brake pipes for the followingconditions:Kinks, improper routing, missing or damaged retainersLeaking fittings, excessive corrosionIf any of the brake pipes exhibited any of the conditionslisted, then the identified pipe, or pipes, requirereplacement.Ensure that the vehicle axles are properly supported at rideheight in order to maintain the proper relationship of the flexiblebrake hoses to the chassis.Visually inspect all of the flexible brake hoses for thefollowing conditions:Kinks-(1), improper routing, twists, chafing,missing or damaged retainersLeaking connections, cracking, dry-rot, blisters,bulgesIf any of the flexible brake hoses exhibited any of theconditions listed, then the identified flexible brake hose, orhoses require replacement.Squeeze the flexible brake hoses with firm finger pressure tocheck for soft spots-(2), indicating an internalrestriction. Check the entire length of each flexible brakehose.If any of the flexible brake hoses were found to have softspots-(2), then the identified flexible brake hose, orhoses require replacement.
