Removal Procedure
Remove the transmission. Refer toTransmission Replacement.Remove the flywheel. Refer toEngine Flywheel RemovalClean and inspect the flywheel. Refer toEngine Flywheel Cleaning and Inspection. If the flywheel teeth aredamaged, inspect the starter for proper operation. Replace thestarter if you find excessive wear or damage to the starterdrive.Installation Procedure
