ProceduresUsing a suitable tool, release the two left retainer tabssecuring the front floor console transmission shift opening trimplate to the shift control assembly.While holding the left edge of the front floor consoletransmission shift opening trim plate up, to keep the retainer tabsfrom reattaching, grasp the shifter assembly and gently pull it tothe left.Push the front floor console transmission shift opening trimplate to the right as far as possible and pull upward in order torelease the two right side retainer tabs.
